      Richard,

Glad you like the tips. Thanks.

Here is what I have on fairway woods:

I may do something in the future if I can think of anything. There is not much specific to these clubs other than the tip I did above. Just keep working on the swing. A great swing can hit all clubs.

  2. Hi Paul

Thank you for these great tips.

What is your position on the recommendation to hover the club rather than lay it on the ground before the back swing. I don’t remember seeing you doing it.

    Best

      David,

I like it sitting on the ground so you can feel the arms totally relax. Some people who hover it have great success too. If you are not hovering it I would stick to that. If you are hovering it and you are doing the one-piece takeaway then keep doing it.

Hi Paul, When I am set up like this my strike is much more consistent, however I feel my hips are “stuck” in this position and I end up throwing the club back over the top. Thoughts? Thanks Ben

  4. Paul,
I have an argument with another Golf Pro teacher ( He’s not US )
He contends there are as many swings as there are clubs in the bag ,That is 13 ,when excluding the putter .
Sure the plane OF the swing is différent from club to club ,So is the width OF stance And position OF the ball.
Once you have taken the correct address position.the movement OF the whole body is the same .
    What’s YOUR opinion ?

      Raymond,

You have one swing. No one would be able to play this game with 13 swings. You would have to practice each swing equally which is never going to happen.

Do you hinge and re-hinge your wrists in your swing with all clubs … yes. Do you coil and uncoil with all clubs …. yes. do you stay on approx the same spine angle with all clubs … yes.

      End of argument.

    Hi Paul,

If you saw a flash this morning just before 9 am central time, it wasn’t lightning – it was a light going on in my head in Houston. I have been doing so many things wrong for so many years………..

    Thank you for everything,

    Len

BTW, I know your time is precious. Don’t feel obligated to reply to my comments that are just letting you know how much I am learning.

      Len,

Good stuff. The light bulb or lightening moment in your case indicates a huge breakthrough. We do offer swing analysis. Not sure why more people don’t do it.

    Hi Paul,
Where can I find the set up checklist?

    Thanks,
    Len
