Paul WilsonSean,
You need to be doing nightly practice swings with a mirror of the right side. Watch your knee in the mirror as you go back and don’t lose the flex. If you can see it you can stop it from moving.
Also, I would make sure you are coiling right. If you are doing a reverse pivot this could make it difficult too and/or turning your hips too much. Keep in mind this flex creates a tight coil. Human nature will try to stop you from doing it. Pros know it’s supposed to be tight so we try to make it tight whereas amateur look to relieve this tension. You are losing the flex because it start to become a tight coil so you look for a way to relive it. Keep the flex and create a tight coil. Do not avoid this tightness of the coil. Use it. DO NOT hurt yourself. This is not a HURT coil it is a TIGHT coil.

GLENNWISSEIs the reason people move the knee because they are relieving tension from their coiling? The tension I now feel is far more uncomfortable than the way I used to swing which includeda sway and an over the top move along with a touch of a reverse pivot. Im embracing the tension now and getting much better results.

RobKedgleyThis is great Paul! what do you think about rolling in the instep and right knee to assist with this?
Or placing some kind of wedge under the outside of the right foot (sway stop)
Im feeling a ridiculous amount of coil and load now and finally feel I’ve got something to push off of!
thanks very much, Rob

Paul WilsonYou can do, but I only really suggest this if the golfer has a huge amount of sway back with their lower body. Sometimes they end up putting something too big under the back foot and creates too much tension and it causes them to go more onto the outside of the foot. Check out this tip:
