    Hello Paul,
What do you say should be the pressure of the left and right hands in the swing? 70% Left?

Also, If you can’t touch your legs, does that mean your stance is too wide?

    Thank you.

Thank you for all the great tips with my first year with your coaching. Things are starting to come together and it’s very exciting as it this is also my first year of really playing the game. “Say yes!”

  3. Hi Paul,
On all your videos I see you don’t use a glove.
I don’t know if you use one when you are playing a round.
I personally like playing without a glove.but all the people (even our golf pros) around are telling me not to do.
Can you tell me what the (dis)advantages are?

    • Gerald,

      I haven’t used a glove since I was 16. I was going through a glove a week and they were $16 each. I couldn’t afford them.

If your palms are not sweaty then it is perfectly fine to not wear a glove. I use tour wrap grips which seems to be fine for me. They wipe off just fine crating a tacky surface. The choice is yours.

  4. Paul, I like the idea of playing lessons. Now that we have had so much on the basic swing most people should have it down by now. Clearly it needs repetition, but interspersed we could have tips on how to play different shots in different situations, how to size up different situations, conditions on the course requiring modifications, etc.

    • Dale,

Keep in mind that watching the daily tips is NOT how you should be using the site. You should be working on an area of your swing. You go to that area and work on it. Then another and so on. Sure, you can watch the daily tips if you want but this is not how you should be working on your swing. All of the tips I do are added to the archive so you will eventually get to them.

I do have a bunch of playing tips already on the site. There is a tab on the homepage called Playing Tips where you can find a bunch. There is also a section in the Dashboard on this very topic.

  5. ALL THE TIPS ARE GREAT BUT CAN’T FIND ANY TIPS ON FAIRWAY BUNKERS THANK YOU GLENN

    • Glenn,

In the red navigation bar on the original site. Hover over Golf Tips. Sub categories will pop up. Fairway bunkers is right there. There is also a search box on the far right hand side of this navigation bar you can type in what you are looking for. I can’t remember where I put them in the dashboard but there too is a search box on the right side of the gray bar.

  7. I had a good laugh when reviewing this excellent advice video lesson .Years ago ,when I had a permanent visa to the USA (They took it away from me since ,maybe they thought I was a kind of terrorist !),my wife and played very often in the US where the golfs are beautifully manucured .Playing in a cart was an obligation ,to speed up the game we were told (!!!).Well as you say ,the American players used to sit in the cart while waiting their turn to play .Not only they didn’t practice the “up in the air “swings ,but the kept eating all kinds of snacks and drinking coca cola …
