  1. Very good and all important reminder,Paul!JOHNNY REVOLTA would say to feel like when you’re taking your putter off the ground.
Most important also ,the arms must be completely relaxed(but the elbows together) :it’s like preparing to rotate your sling above your head (I used ths comparison before :DAVID vs GOLIATH )
Ancient golfers woud recommend to waggle or forward press :I don’t do that ,I just get into my backswing when I’m ready .
Some time ago ,you demostrated the “Wiggle “.You don’t mention it anymore .

  2. Thanks for the tips. This is the first time u are hearing from me since I joined but don’t worry I am going thru the swing tips, exercises and full swings. I am the first to admit I am addicted to golf, I practice inside at the PGA golf store which gives me the ability to check every swing, I mean I check every swing.
On the range I tend to look for results, I know the turf is different. Yes I am working on hip turn and relax my grip.

    • Alan,

      Glad to hear from you.

I hope you are doing practice swings working on swing positions while you are there and when you are at home. It can be fun to hit ball after ball. Unfortunately, this will not allow you to develop a great swing and play your best golf. Stay focuses. Work on the movement and you will develop a great swing.

  3. Paul, that was most enlightening. You just described me on my setup. My wife once went golfing (just watching) and told me to relax. The reason this happens is because I am worried about how I am going to hit the ball. Now, the next time I play, I just will be relaxed and not care how the ball is going to go and try to implement your tips. Maybe I’ll have a lousy round, but still, it is fun.

    • Ken,

So many people are too tight at setup. Just see what happens now that you will double check it.

Right, don’t care about the ball. It doesn’t matter if you hit some bad shots if you are trying to change it. In fact, I want you hitting bad shots. If you aren’t you are not trying to change anything. Give it a try and try it when you practice too. You will be amazed.

Should our grip pressure be the same throughout the swing.
