David, I understand the 20 yard point. However, there are variations that we cannot control that makes the 20 yard idea difficult. Such as riding a cart, or driving a cart, or looking for other players preparing to hit when playing “ready golf”. I am taking your advice to heart, but my starting point will be when I exit the cart ( or when I arrive at a point where I would exit the cart if there are cart path restrictions). It will have much less variation. It also relates to every shot, tee, fairway, rough, sand and putting. Just me!
