AnthonyScarfoneI will give this a try. Will this help me coil more on my right (trail) side?

Paul WilsonAnthony,
It probably will help you coil because is you head is stuck you will move sideways not in a rotational manner. Give it a try.

JosephPerezThanks for this insight. Right-Eye Dominant as well, and have seen/read so much about how my head should be oriented/look like in the backswing. I discovered by myself that I felt batter being able to keep focus on the ball more clearly with a more level head, but was also unsure if this was hurting me in other ways since I’d been lead to believe that my head should be more “tilted,” in that Left-Eye Dominant position.

Paul WilsonJoseph,
Your head should be close to level as you hit the top of the backswing.
If you tilt the head left at the top your whole body will lean left sending you over the top. Any easy way to work on this is to watch the brim of your hat out of your peripheral vision. This way you will know if you it is tilted or not. You might hit come fat shots as you work on this. This is a good thing because if you get ahead of it you will be hitting topped or think shots. To stop the fat shots keep doing what you are doing but get the weight off the back foot a little more to cure the fat shots.

NormanKlineI am flabbergasted! I am right eye dominant and have always tilted my head the wrong direction. I have had several different teaching pros give me lessons and no one has said anything about this. I am very anxious to see what this does for me . Boy I sure do have a lot of things to change7

Paul WilsonNorman,
Yes, you need the head to not tilt back to the target. You do that and your whole body will tilt forward sending you over the top. Give it a try. You will see the path change.
Lots of people have a lot to change. You are not alone.

JackRicciardiFunny but I am a right handed golfer and am blind in left eye. I found i swivel my head forward without realizing it when I address the ball. If I catch myself doing this I try to swivel it back in line with my sternum. If my head is swivel ahead at address what problems will this cause. I even do this with putter.

Paul WilsonJack,
You will most likely not move your head and do a reverse pivot. This would have you using you arms sending you over the top. Glad you are trying to catch yourself and re-set when it’s wrong. Keep doing this. Not sure it will effect the shorter shots but it may.

StianOttersenWhat are the Main issues by the head dipping down too much in the downswing. Should it feel like it stays the same throughout the swing?
May 16, 2020
Paul WilsonThe head will dip slightly into the downswing just because when you fire your lower body, the head stays back for a spilt moment. But you would not want it to dip too much. Check out this video:
