I’m definitely going to try this method with my irons. I’ve only been golfing for a year and I struggle mostly with my irons.

Greetings Coach: this tip gave me an idea on how to feel the weight of the club,I did my swing drill holding the club head and not the grip.i could really feel the club weight when i turned it around,so the next time i play i am going to hold the club at the head, do all my practice wings that way and only turn it around when i step on the tee, i will let you how it works Thanks Coach still out here watching and learning.

Hi Paul, There is a difference between listening to your tips and actually UNDERSTANDING what you mean. Last week I accidently “let go” – swinging the club up freely backwards while coiling and then loosely and freely swinging down into the follow-through maintaining the “Y”. The club felt like an out of control weight, my wrists were loose and the whole sensation was remarkably pleasant. Since then my game has actually improved and my stress level has dropped.
    So thanks Paul.
    Ian.

  4. Another terrific tip Paul, keep them coming ! My query is: would you also adapt this ‘club feels heavy’
sensation to even the short little chipping shots ?

    • No, a chip shot would be more like a putting stroke. You are not trying to have totally powerless arms.
