hey guys, the entire AUDIO,between you two,was barely discernible and breslows comments were never heard at all-i did hear a little of Pauls comments, but ur entire presentation, which is usually clear and lucid, today was poor!!!

  2. I could hear you guys just fine.

Volume control was poor. I could barely hear some comments but there was nothing I missed.

  5. Paul and Dave ,Though I was wearing headsets ,I had a difficult Time ,me also ,understanding your interesting comments .
Paul was about compréhensible ,Dave not :probably for a foreignet like me ,his accent or élocution is more difficult to grasp .
However ,to comme to the point ,I feel strongly one should not transform a good golf game you enjoy in some ” head grasping ” exersize .First ,I note m’y scores ,hole by hole ,but I never add up until I’m finished .I note of cours puts taken ,FAIRWAY shots ,scoring shots ( below 100 meters ),but I don’t reflect on them .Second : I do the analysis after the round ,at home ,relaxing in an arm chair .
Three : I ask myself thèse simple questions : WHAT DID I DO WELL / WHAT COULD I HAVE DONE BETTER / HOW DO BETTER .
If you ” intellectualize” the game when you play ,you don’t have fun and you play badly .
Now ,as the sound was Bad ,what does DAVE Want you to note down after each hole played: émotions ! And what more ?
What Will That bring to me ?
I ‘ ve at last started DAVE’s program .” WIRED TO WIN ” .the vidéos are very long to Watch and listen ,but I ‘ll Will go through !
    Let’s see the outcome !

      Rayond,

Lucky to even get that much of it. Lost one mic halfway through.

Why would you not want to know these things when you play. Maybe they will help.

I (through my speakers) heard you guys very well, though about three 1/2 minutes into it Paul you moved your arms to make a point and the audio did change BUT it still sounded ok then in the last 45 seconds the wind noise started but again the audio was ok

      Tim,

Lucky to even get that much of it. Lost one mic halfway through. Very windy that day. That was he second take.

This is excellent! Straightaway I can think of many bad shots during rounds when feeling rushed when golfers are close behind, or tightness in my hands and arms on many other occasions when mentally at unease. Like you said, awareness is key, next time out I’ll be more mindful of these tendencies during the round of golf, accept and commit!. Thanks David & Paul!

      Tom,

Exactly. I thought it was a great idea to give me some idea about what I go through when I play.

The sound was somewhat uneven, but I had no difficulty hearing you both. David’s comments were very interesting and I will try to apply them from here on.

I believe that doing this would eventually cause an information overload. Over analyzing one’s every move and emotion seems to be counter productive. I prefer to keep it simple. A swing thought or two is more helpful than an internal couch session after every hole.

Dave and Paul ,I saw this (excellent) video lesson two years ago and I commented on it . Though there were gusts of Wind and Dave was difficult to follow (As usual !), I understood what I had too understand .I’m more positive today on what Dave said as I am two years “older ” than I was at the time ,I recognize better now that golf is an “Inside Out “game (Just look at the Top Pro’s playing :why did RORY Mc ILROY suddenly win at the DEUSTCHE BANK CHAMPIONSHIP when he was struggling with his putting just a few days ago ?)
I have just read an excellent “mind’s book “by DEBBIE CREWS KETTERLING .Ph D :”Golf :ENERGY IN MOTION.It’s not about the ball .It’s about possibilties ”
It does give some fresh insights which help !
I too write down (too many )figures on my score card .From now on I’ll write down the “MENTALLY ,PHYSICALLY ,EMOTIONNALY ” items underlined by Dave BRESLOW .Thanks ,Dave for reminding that to us !

  11. Paul & David,

I started keeping detailed stats this year – quite similar to Paul’s. I also include a cause for anything over par but it is only the club – e.g., poor drive, poor hybrid, poor lag putt, etc. David’s method is much more meaningful. In retrospect the causes are mostly mental – e.g., lack of focus, rushing, not getting my balance set well at setup, etc. I plan to revamp my data gathering using David’s physical, mental, emotional elements.

Great tip! Thanks to both of you guys!

    Mike
