  1. Fine reminder,Paul:direction ,spin ,contact .
My shots are very consistent ,straight ,slight fade at the end which stops the ball I don’t try to work the ball(Looking at THE OPEN these past days ,I note that the Pros’s don’t neither:when they do ,it’s a miss usually :see JORDAN’s SPIETH strayed drive ) .
Now I read an article from a golf instructor saying you should try to match intentionnally the sweet spot of the club and the sweet spot of the ball ,meaning you should “think ” of it when you swing .For me it’s much too difficult ,I don’t .Of course after the shot ,I look at the clubface to see where the contact was made ,was it centered ,off centered ,to the toe ,to the heel ,low or high on the face .My entire intent is to swing smoothly and let it be .

    • Raymond,

This would be hitting the ball. This hitting would mean arms and manipulation. What he is forgetting is that everyone is already trying to do that. Does he think people are not trying to hit the ball in the sweetspot. This thinking is not working. If it was everyone would be good. You need to not think of hitting anything as this is the problem.
