You are correct! I’m finally starting to get it. After a few months of practicing lose wrists, hinging and re-hinging, and using legs, my scores are coming down. Yesterday I posted a 78!

      Jim,

Great round. The 70’s are exciting. Now let’s keep you in the 70’s and get you even lower. More precise positions and better short game. You can do it.

          Ray,

That’s great. You have the potential to be a low single digit. I did tell you this. Now you are starting to see that you can do it.

          Keep up the great work.

Hi Paul. This has been my swing thought for this golf season. Swing easy, don’t hit just swing throug to the finish position. My handicap is down to 6. I started with a 14 this spring. Of course every once in a while I still mess up but I’m so much better. I have received several compliments on what a nice swing I have. And I get You swing like Ernie Els so smooth and the ball just seems to jumped off your club. Man that makes you feel good. I always tell them about you and your teaching and to check out your videos on YouTube. Golf is so much mor fun when you play well. Swing easy.

      Glenn,

That’s a big change in handicap in 1 season. I love hearing it. It really is possible.

Those are good thoughts and because you are getting people complimenting you you know you are getting it.

Thank you for the promo. I need all the help I can get.

Yes, it is a great feeling when you get that effortless swing. Once you do, you know you will be able to do it forever.

Absolutely! Can’t agree more. What a profound difference this has made for me. However, I have to admit that it took me 3 rounds until I could actually pull this off! I couldn’t believe how hard it was to do this (swing easy). Seems so simple. Once you do it though, there’s no going back. You just have to commit to doing it once and stick with it on the course. Loving golf again. Thank you Paul!

      Merritt,

Glad you are thinking easy thoughts. Yes, once you do it and you see that you hit the ball as far is not farther it makes no sense to go back to hitting again. There is no pay off. If hitting gave you double the result I would be telling everyone to hit but it doesn’t. Keep up the good work.

Great comments so far, I agree with them for sure.

One of my new mantras in my head is that it’s not called a “Golf HIT” it’s called a “Golf SWING” for a reason.

As coach Paul teaches positions, it’s point A to point B. When I think of this, these are always my best shots. Not the farthest, but straight on the fairway or green.

      John,

Yes, point A to B. This is the swing. Keep thinking like that. Keep hitting fairways and getting confidence. My goal for you next year is getting ti close to 250. You can do it.

    Paul,
I have been trying to keep my wrists loose through the swing by not holding the club tight at address position, but on the completion of the backswing, the wrists feel tigfht especially when trying to hold trhe lag position. I have been holding the club light at address but changed to slightly more pressure with my “Pinky” fingers on the top of the backswing which allows more wrist movement at the top and better release through the hitting area resulting in higher shots. Please comment

      Steve,

Great. You watched the whole tip. I was wanting to see if anyone caught that. Let us know what happens.

    Paul,

Believe it or not I was actually one step ahead of you. Some time ago I attached a laminated card to the outside of my golf bag entitled “Paul Wilson Swing Thoughts.” This was a good reminder for me to revise it to insure they are “easy” thoughts and that I refer to the card on the first tee and throughout my round.

Wednesday you got a great compliment from one of the players I was paired with. He said he’d never seen anyone my age (65) hit the ball 250 yards (it was actually 230) and it looks like I am barely swinging the club. I told him I was a devoted disciple of your teachings. I referred him to your Body Swing samples and told him to sign up for the 14-day Ignition golf trial. He committed to do so and said he had once looked up your lesson rates and may visit you in LV.

This year I forewent getting a handicap and committed to spend a year revamping my game using your teachings. It’s really coming together. I want to nail the positions first before I try driving my lower body faster but hope I’m well on my way to getting to 250. What a thrill for a guy that was a long time 200 yard arm hitter!

Lastly, your Q&A is just awesome – particularly when you refer us back to many of the other videos in your library that we may not know about. My favorites list is a mile long now! I love ’em all!

      Mike,

That’s a great idea. I have had people in the past do this too that’s why I included it with The Body Swing. Keeping the thoughts on one is a good idea too.

Thank you for the promo. You are definitely doing it if people are commenting on it. It’s a great feeling.

I think your distance it great right now. Definitely let it settle in. You’ll know when you are ready for more and who knows it might come on its own as did say confidence breeds distance. When you are ready remember this tip:

Glad you like the comments. I too think this is a great part of the site.

  8. Paul,

Do you have the link for your 100 yard seven iron drill? I have found the to be very effective at getting me to slow down, have time to use my legs and hips, and making solid contact.

    Thanks. Mike
