Sorry to hear about your back pain. Unfortunately I just don’t have enough information from your question to answer completely. The Woodpecker is a great exercise, especially in conjunction with Standing Decompression, Lunge Stretch and The Founder. When these are done together you can establish a strong posterior chain necessary for proper alignment and function. Having said that, they also stress the muscles of the lower back and may be too ‘aggressive’ for what you’re currently dealing with. Rest, ice and mild stretching may be the best combination for you right now. Don’t be afraid to find a medical professional to help you get through this back pain… an evaluation sounds smart. DennisKlineJeremy just getting to some older post. I am experiencing some lower back discomfort. Would the Woodpecker workout help relieve some of this?
