VenuKoosuriHi Paul
Wow, with 9 iron you hit 150 meters. I could hit that distance with 3 wood only. What is the typical distance a recreational golfer hits with various clubs. I hit my 9 iron 90 meters only.

Paul WilsonVenu,
I hit 9 iron 150 yards. 7 Iron = 170 yards.
Men – 7 iron 150 yards other clubs at 10 yard increments.
Woman – 7 iron 120 yards other clubs 5-10 yard increments.
The distance between clubs depends on how fast you swing which compresses the ball on the face. If you do not compress the ball enough you will probably get a 5 yard difference.

JohnBensonThis is good advice as always. I am just starting to over shoot the pin on my approach shots, or on 150-160 yard 3 pars. [But still landing on the green]
It’s because I’m starting to dial in with hips firing first, loose arms and the wrists whipping more often of course, thanks to your coaching.
