KennthBovaPaul, what about the waggle?
October 29, 2016
RaymondCHASTELBEN HOGAN was an adept OF THE waggle .PAUL teaches THE ” WIGGLE ” .I personally prefer not to complicate THE game and I do neither ,I just do a slightly forward move OF THE club before take off ,to be sure to be relaxed .

Paul WilsonRaymond,
The wiggle was just a drill I showed in one tip. I do teach waggle.

Paul WilsonKen,
You would do that before you get to this.

RaymondCHASTELPaul,How do You position your rear foot .BEN HOGAN first said to put it at right Angles to THE target Line ,then ,after his bad accident ,sllightly splayed it open .Most top Pro’s have both feet at right Angles to THE target Line .But they are very supplĂ©.JOHN DALY ,THE famous long hitter said both feet shoould be splayed open .For THE prĂ©sent being ,I’m comfortable with THE rear foot at right angles ,THE front foot slightly splayed open .Is That OK.?

RaymondCHASTELPaul ,I do two of your triggers :
– forward press of the hands .
– slight kick in of the right knee
I’m also careful not have the sole of the club lying on the ground/turf ,to avoid getting the club “stuck “in the takeaway (This is a recomendation from JACK NICKLAUS )

Paul WilsonRaymond,
That’s fine.

RaymondCHASTELPaul ,A question on chipping .I exercise every day I don’t go on the course (100 chips )I realized recently that if I put some lower body rotation(not much ) with the legs in the “chip downswing” ,I was more accurate. Is that right or wrong ? Should the legs remain motionless ?

Paul WilsonRaymond,
In your through stroke your body would follow along. I am not hitting it with my body. I allow it to turn through it. I am thinking right hand and accelerate the clubhead as I do in putting. If you want to hit it with body that is fine. Just make sure you are not moving your body going back.

AllanLeurquinHi Paul I like to kick the right knee a little that also helps keep weight on inside of right foot.

Paul WilsonAllan,
That’s totally fine. Loading the weight is vital so keep this loading thought.

MaximoPazHi Paul, what about to leave the driver up (i.e. not touching the ground) before doing backswing? sometimes I feel that doing this gets me more relaxed arms. Thanks, Maximo

Paul WilsonMaximo,
Hovering any club is fine but I rarely see people do this right. When you hover it you just have the club ever so slightly off the ground. Most who do that have it an inch or two in the air which is too much. I also see people who hover it move the club back and forth before they take it back. I don’t like this either. I would get ready with the club on the ground then gently hover it then take it away.
