This seems a super tip for me Paul, as my backswing shortens considerably on the course compared to the range. I just can’t seem to take the club back as far as I should whilst playing, so I look forward very much to giving this super simple tip a trial with at least one bucket of balls on the range. Thank you !

You mentioned that your pocket ( hip area )moves as your hands approach the pocket but I was under impression that your lower segment is stable but only turns as you coil to the top ( ear area – as you mentioned in the video) —or — should you begin to rotate your hips early in the backswing .
Otherwise thanks for your teaching I really like your Ironman book.which I refer to as an excellent resource

Your hips are only rotating because you cannot keep them perfectly still, they rotate to allow your shoulders to come around to about a 90* angle. Move your shoulders, which moves the most and this will move everything else into position.
