johnhoyleGreetings Coach:when I set up I like to go in with the club in my left hand, feel my arms hanging comfortably, then bring the right hand in.I see on this tip you go in with the club in your right hand,am I asking for trouble going in with the left hand?

RaymondCHASTELDear Mr John HOYLE ,I also myself square the clubface to the target with the right hand before getting in my stance :I always make sure my clubface is correctly oriented by looking straight down on it from just above .

Paul WilsonJohn,
I have done a tip on this. Watch pros. Do they go in with the left hand? No. This can cause you to be closed at set up.

Might want to change it.

RaymondCHASTELPaul ,Wouldn’t it have been safer to hit less lofted shot than the one you demonstrated ,a punch shot with more roll,to avoid the backspin effect spinning back the ball downside the slope of the green ?

Paul WilsonRaymond,
I am only really hitting pucnh/knock downs in certain situations (usually when it’s windy). This one the green is elevated. So hitting it low might not be the best option as it would be super low when it hits the green. Might roll right off the back. Plus, keep in mind most people can hit the punch/knock down.
