JEREMY , i do the ” Stepping lunge ” ,starting with the feet together ,it trains also,YOUR balance( Not easy to maintain )
Which one is the more bénéficial ?
Hi Raymond,
So many people do a lunge incorrectly (knee passes the toes). Therefore, I like to start with the ‘static’ lunge. Eventually, once someone understands the proper lunge I will progress them to a ‘Stepping lunge’. Balance, eccentric control and explosiveness all in one. Great training, but I really need to be convinced someone is ready for it… they have to earn it first.

Jeremy, I attempted this exercise and, goodness, I coud not do it. I lack sufficient strength in my hips and thighs. I am not over weight or disabled in any way.
I think some simple squats, done daily, might correct this–I’d appreciate your advice.
