JohnBensonI’m digging the feet to ball set up positioning for different clubs. This is a Swell visual for me.

DennisBenedictHow do you measure the club distance from your body when you are much taller? The end of my 7 iron is much lower than my belt buckle.

Paul WilsonDennis,
If you are taller the butt would point above the belt buckle and maybe be another inch away. Just do the setup with a mirror off your right side. Look for the forearms and thighs parallel at at least 6 inches. If so, you should be the right distance.
I talk about it here: https://ignitiongolf.com/distance-from-ball/

NormanKlineWould the widest stance be as wide as possible and still be able to touch your back leg to the front leg?

Paul WilsonNorman,
Yes, with driver the legs are still touching but the back leg is dropped back 1 ball due to the wider stance.

I have tried setting up with my right hand on the end of the club as you instruct in this video, but when I take my full grip, my right hand has to drop further down the shaft so that my left hand can grip the club.
When I do this I find that I am reaching for the ball and often hit the ball off of the toe of the club.
What am I doing wrong?

Paul WilsonStephen,
You shouldn’t be reaching because you are building around the club. This means the as you go to put the top hand on you are very careful not to move the club as you do this. You must be moving it. So be very careful. If you still can’t get it you can do the grip right in front of you as you hold the club in the air. Then once the grip is on you lower the club behind the ball. There are pros who do this too. No pro addresses it with the top hand. So watch me do it again. See how I build around around the club and copy what I am doing.
Toeing is you standing up. As you stand up the club moves in. This could be because you are too far away or just trying to see the shot you are trying to hit too early.
