ROBERTThanks for the indoor tips Paul. I used to struggle with pulling my hands inside on the takeaway. I did a similar drill using a wall and it helped tremendously.
One other question – I received an email advertising drivers from Speed System Golf / Gary McCord. golfspeedsystem.com I saw a picture of you in the advertisement, but couldn’t see how you’re involved. Do you recommend these drivers?

PeterGunnI can’t recall you giving a tip on hitting down on the ball. A pro said I should try putting a towel down about six inches behind the ball, strike downwards and try and take the divot in front of the ball. I find that I often hit the towel before I hit the ball. Should I be coming in at a much steeper angle to miss the towel? Any tips on how to overcome this? I then feel that its difficult to have my arms still fully extended two or three feet past where the ball was.
Keep well and thanks for keeping the tips going.

Paul WilsonYou never want to try to hit down on the golf ball. The golf ball is hit and then a divot is taken from having correct things happen in the golf swing like; looser arms, arms stretching out, using your body to hit the golf ball, etc.. So you want ot start addressing these issues. Are you arms fully stretching out after contact of do you have a chicken wing? Are you just whacking the golf ball with your arms or are you using your body? Drills like the one you said are arms thoughts. Here are a few good places to start:
