The wrists should definitely be loose in the golf swing :there are many exercises which promote the looseness of the wrists and how much they bend in all the directions they can move .Having loose ,supple and strong wrists is clearly an advantage .
“It’s all in the hands “wrote ERIC PRAIN in his book of the 1900’s .
    It’s still true today .

After many, many swings educating your hands ,hands and wrists seem to know by themselves what they have to do :this especially true for the short game and the putting .

          Raymond,

That’s great. I love hearing it. Yes, it takes many reps this is why everyone needs to work on this daily.

    Paul,
When I leave my wrists completely loose they then to “cup” at the top of my backswing and tend to stay cupped and cause a slice. I have been trying to bow my wrist and this has seemed to help with the slice. However this also seems to take away the loose wrist feeling and also causes me to…yes hit with my arms. Suggestions?
    Mark
