IanBernadtHi Paul, My swing is gradually coming together, bit by bit, like pieces in a jigsaw, thanks to you.. However at the range I start off with my driver-as I would on the golf course-with great results. Then I switch to my 7 iron with an equally easy swing. But after switching to my 3 wood I start tensing up and topping the ball and I can’t relax after that. I have to pack up and go home.
Fortunately this only happens at the range. What should I do ?
Thanks for your help.
Ian.

Paul WilsonMany golfers tend to have problems with their 3 wood, this is because you are probably trying to hit it way too hard and ternsing up. I would start by teeing it up, and trying to hit some shots at 2/3 effort. You will see that you will hit the ball as far as your full 100% shots. This will start to loosen your arms and get the ball airborne at least. Try these couple of tips:

MichaelBarrettPaul,
When the layoff started, I remembered your advice. I committed to doing 50 practice swings nearly every day in the back yard. I returned to the range last week for the first time in about 75 days. Not surprisingly, I hadn’t missed a beat. Again, no one else is preaching what you do. Your advice is timeless!
Thanks,
Mike
