JamesSprifkeExcellent presentation! Q: I am 75 and lower back issues…do not finish knees together and shaft parallel to ears/back of head. I hit the ball straight since ball is gone, Y is re-created and follow thru re-hinge although abbreviated since no full follow through. Am I correct to presume that loss of distance results from this lack of follow through since club not accelerating, perhaps decelerating at impact due to full rotation curtailed?

Paul WilsonJames,
Glad you liked it. Thanks.
If you are stopping in the follow through you are slowing down before you hit the ball. You need accelerating through to the ending point. So let the swing end when the club is touching your head. Belt buckle would be perpendicular to the target line. Also, for distance you need to turn way faster and have way looser wrists. I guarantee your wrists are way too tight.
Do this drill constanctly too loosen the wrists:

Then work on coiling and uncoiling better. Choose a downswing trigger to uncoil.
