AllanBroadribbHI, I’m working hard and I’ve taken about 5 strokes off my game in the past 3 months following Swing Machine Golf – my best round is 91 and I threw away 3 strokes!!!
I struggle with my driver – I had a bad slice which I have mostly overcome by following your advice – turn my hands over early and loosen my grip. When I relax and swing well I get 220 – 240 yards straight. But – I have a high trajectory – I’m not sure this is a problem as along as the ball gets out there but other players have pointed it out to me. Should I worry about it or try to cure it.
I appreciate all you are doing,
Regards

Paul WilsonAllan,
That’s great news. Just keep taking it one step at at time. If you lose it slow down. People start getting excited so they start hitting hard with the arms. Keep them turned off and use the lower body to hit the ball.
I have 2 tips on lowering the ball flight. Make sure you watch them.
Easy Ways To Lower Trajectory: https://ignitiongolf.com/hit-lower-easy-ways
Lower Overall Trajectory: https://ignitiongolf.com/lower-trajectory
Also, make sure you are constantly rolling those wrists over both in practice swings and at the range. You need to do this until it is easy to hook it at will. Then you forget this roll over and focus on the lower body starting the downswing to straighten it out. Take it step by step and you will fix it for good.

PeterMadouHello Paul,
First let me express my gratitude for your well explained tips.
I discovered Ignitiongolf after having read Michael McTeigue’s Effortless golfswing, searching to get rid of my hit impuls.
Now my swing is much more relaxed and I finish in balance.
However with the driver, the swingthoughts relaxed arms and knee to knee are not enough for me.
I have some success with a tilted stance, but I feel I have to exagerate this tilt on my back foot to flatten my swingplane.
A tip on driver setup and stance would be super ….
Many thanks !
Peter

Paul WilsonPeter,
Glad you joined. I truly appreciate it. Hopefully, we can take your swing to a whole new level.
You only have one swing. When you setup I want you doing the same setup. Sure, you may be a little farther away with your hands with driver but the angles should be the same (tall setup).

CraigMinnerHi Paul,
It would be helpful if you could comment on what skill set is needed for using a Driver that has a “stiff” shaft instead of a “regular” shaft. What are the pros or cons?
