Does the left ( forward ) knee move straight back at the same moment that the belt buckle starts to move toward the ball ?
Also, what is the status of that new driver you were working on ?

      Art,

The left knee is moving back as the hips turn. Just think of setup. At set up your hips face the ball and knee are flexed. As you start the turn you get back to this position then you keep turning. This is initial move is what I call the first 45 degrees. Once you get the first 45 you can get the second. You do so by continuing to turn.

The new driver is being sold exclusively through the golf channel. It is called the Speed System. I would think they are running commercials now.

This initial hip movement is without the question the HARDEST move for me. Therefore , my ball still does not go anywhere. Would you recommend a slight hesitation at the top of back swing like Matsuyama so that hips will have a chance to go first?

Hi Paul, I am having difficulty starting the hip move and was wondering if you had any cues you could share to start to fire the hips? I know you said the inside of the right foot should have 80 percent on it, but do you have any muscle or do yo you push your inside right foot to initiate the action? I’ve watched this belt buckle tip and it’s-helpful, but I would grasp this concept better if I there were any physical tip to start it. Should I be pushing off with the inside of the foot or the big toe of the right foot or is this just instinctual for you since you’ve don’t it so long. Apologies if you have already covered this somewhere.

    Thanks for your time,
    Mike

Paul, I found the Fire the Knee Ahead of the Ball for Power and it was exactly the cue I needed. The site is great sir, keep up the great work. I must say I am hitting it off the tee with much great control now using this method specifically the hinging of the wrists I think has really improved my accuracy!!

      Mike,

I just saw this. I listed a bunch of other tips you might want to watch too. The knee is a good one. Very few people choose it. Most do the belt buckle but whatever works keep doing it.

Glad you like the site. Thanks.
