As I’m looking at the back of the ball in my backswing with 80% of my weight on my right foot feels good.
At impact and release my weight should be 70% on my left foot yet my head is still back. My head must be moving slightly forward from this forward weight shift because I don’t want to feel I’m leave my weight on my right foot because I feel like I’m leaving my head behind.
I believe I’ve sort of asked this question before but I just want to reiterate this feeling.

      John,

At least 70% if not more into the lead foot at impact.

Yes, you don’t want to be stuck on the back foot. This would be you going to the touch the legs position though. If you just think about that but look at the back of the ball for a while you should have it.

    Paul,

This is a great tip! Amazing that such an important concept only generated one question/comment.

I tend to move my head forward and come out of the shot, leading to a push. This tip is so easy to implement and it always keeps my head behind the ball at impact for solid ball contact. Plus, I tend to have balance problems and keeping my head back. Watching the back of the ball always results is a nice balanced finished and it makes it easier to hit the touch the legs and head positions at the end of the swing.

Perhaps this tip would be a great one to re-run. Thanks for all you do for us loyal Ignition Golf members!

ps. The Stack-and-Tilters are never seeing the back of the ball. 😉

      Michael,

This is how I got it years ago. Once I got this I took my game to a whole new level. Got to stay behind it for sure. Just don’t over do it.
