  1. Paul –

As part of swinging to Point B and accepting that the ball is the problem, when starting the backswing I am not looking at the ball but trying to look ahead to the release position. In this way I’m not focusing on hitting the ball and have a sense of the direction of the club in the downswing. Is this a good idea?

  2. I fully understand point A to point B. I successfully turn my shoulders (coil), hinge my wrist, turn my lower body (uncoil) and touch my knees but I do not consistently touch the back of my head with the shaft. Any tips to help or my wrist is not loose enough on the down swing/follow trough?.

  3. Paul, At home ,I always practice ” dry run” swings without a Ball .However,I fin d convenient to Mark where THE Ball is supposed to be .To do so ,I just put a strip OF tape on THE carpet I lay put in front OF me ( To protect THE tiling ,” just in case ” ) .To rehearse accurately ,you should always know where THE Ball is in your stance ,depending on THE club you Play ( I use THE BEN HOGAN method ,where THE Ball is always at THE same place vs your right foot ,it’s only THE back foot which is up and down and ,and forwards and back).
To complète full y THE follow through ( ” TOUCH YOUR HEAD ” )you must be totally relaxed ,and turn full y on THE left leg : it also shows you don’t decelerate after you have ” hit” THE Ball.
I âgree with you ,THE ” finish ” position is THE most important position to observe .if THE finish is fine ,it means your swing was OK.

    • Raymond,

Although this may work for you I don’t want people thinking of the ball in any way. If people put tape on the ground they will try to hit the tape. This is still hitting. In fact, I want people swinging just slightly off of the ground. This way there is nothing there so they can focus on the positions not the ball.
