  1. Got my video going. It turns out that I have an ad blocker that had to be disabled for your web sight.

I want to thank you on your ‘throw the ball’ method to understand the hip movement. I never learned to throw the ball this way, but that’s one more reason why I was never that good. Thanks.

      Andy,

Glad you are back to playing and glad to have you as a member of Ignition Golf.

Keep working to the swing positions I teach and turning the arms off. You are already seeing results so lets keep it up long into the future.

Paul, I’ve been a subscriber for a few months now, and your videos have been a fantastic help to me. I feel I have received way more than my money’s worth !!!
Still working on overcoming years of old “muscle memory” but I am slowing improving. So glad I discovered Ignition Golf, and I have been talking up your site to anyone that will listen.
    best regards,

      Bill,

Glad you like the tips. I appreciate the feedback. I also appreciate you spreading the word. We need all the help we can get. There are so many people out there that need help.

Make sure you are doing tons of practice swings working on the swing positions. This is the easiest way to get it. Also, lots of practice swings at the range and even when you play. You need to know them like the back of you hand.

I really like this approach where you have everything sequenced.

I was surprised though by the setup tip. It went through the setup tip and then you said there was a tip #2 but the next tip in the sequence is touch the legs. Where is tip#2 for the setup?

  5. Dear Paul,

    Hello Paul

I saw one of your videos on you tube for the body swing. I ordered the product and it is fantastic. I took what I learned to the course this wek end and the results were immediate. I still used my arms on occasion but I can see where I will eventually get rid of them. Today I joined ignition golf. What a great product.

BTW where can I easily access “ my favorites”

    Thanks David

      David,

Glad you like The Body Swing. I appreciate the feedback.

Thank you for joining. There are a ton of tips on the site so use them in conjunction with The Body Swing. This is the best way.

To find the favorites save any tip then scroll down the page and you will see them. We are having Dashboard issues right now. These should be resolved on Friday. Once we are back up you might want to check it out. This is an even better way of saving and tip you want into the right category.

  8. Paul, you are the man! I started playing golf in 1970 and played pretty well for never taking a lesson. My brother-in-law started playing golf with us, and never played before. He had no golf etiquette and very frustrating to play with that I ended up quitting the game.. I stopped for 5 years and never found the game again even after many lessons. I am now 71 yrs old and thanks to you and your common sense instructions, in which no one that I’ve found teaches these fundamentals.. I’ve been practicing now everyday all day long, now finally understanding the swing. I’ve changed over to the Moe Norman swing and improved somewhat but never felt comfortable. I choose your way of swinging and now look like a golfer and play like one now. Thank you so much for your teachings.

      Bob,

Thank you very much. So glad you are doing well. I love hearing it.

I tried the Moe swing many years ago myself. You can get on a role hit some straight shots but my arms were killing me.

Glad you are working on it. You will be playing some great golf in the near future.

Paul, I love your teaching methodology and at 83+ year old find your lessons have improved my game helping me maintain my 24 handicap with hopes of going a little lower in the near future, God willing. Thanks, Ed

      Ed,

Thank you for your kind words and support. I truly appreciate it.

You definitely have to stay super loose in your wrists and use your legs and hips. This way you can still generate power no matter what your age. It’s just a different way to do it. I think you see that and are seeing results but keep working on these 2 main things.

  11. Thank you Paul for your body swing method, I find Im still not getting the ball to go straight with any confidence, its either a hard draw or a bad slice & sometimes come up with one down the line. working hard on this but feel a little frustrated. I realise Ive only just started this type of swing but just a little impatience, any tips that could be my problem. Thanks, Murray.

      Murray,

      Glad you like it.

if you are hooking it without trying to hook it you have a grip problem. If you hook a few you are then tightening to stop it from hooking now its a slice. So you need to go back the grip lesson asap and master it. As you do the grip make sure you are not moving it just before you take it back.

      Hooking: https://ignitiongolf.com/cure-hooking/

Also, keep in mind that at the end of The Body Swing there is a Fix Your Own Swing section and tons of those cures are on this site too.

You need to follow The Body Swing step by step. Work on 1 thing at a time in the order I teach them. Do way more practice swings versus hitting balls. Look for the feedback in each position. This tells you that you are doing it right. Also, watch yourself in a mirror so you know you are doing it. It is all about building a great swing. A great swing hits great shots. So if you have just started I wouldn’t even be caring about the ball. Focus on the positions. The ball will come later.

    Paul,
I find your approach towards the golf swing to make so much sense and I appreciate the comments about how to analyze your swing. I am a victim of the chicken wing and haver been making progress towards fixing this. One part that plagues me is the angle of my right wrist breaking down just before impact, sort of like a cupping effect. I couldn’t find any “cures” to work on this. Any suggestions?
    Thank you.
