    Hi Paul

When you coil how do you knew all the back swing positions are being achieved?

      Naz,

You know because you have worked on the positions. I coil until I feel the stretch in my left lat. I fully hinge in my wrists because I work on it and I can feel the club set at the top. I feel the weight load and I worked on it. My back knee is flexed because I really worked it. So you need to work on the elements and make them perfect. This is why I keep telling everyone to do them in practice swings. The more you do them the better you become.

    Hi Paul.
I have a question. When you coil do youslid or lift the arms. I have always been confused how the arms get to the top or back of the back swing. I don’t know if I go back properly

  3. Paul,

Love your powerless arm tips. My question is “we’ve heard that we need to pull the butt of the club forward with our left arm”. Is this right or wrong?

    • James,

Pulling the club down would not be powerless arms. This would be you moving the mass (club) before the axis (body). In physics this would not work. All you have to do is turn and axis before the mass and it would flatten 100% of the time. Watch this one:

      Daniel,

That’s great news. I love hearing it. I ope everyone else is hearing it too. Practice swings are where it’s at as you learn it. Add the ball later once you get it.

Played couple days ago all PW TIPS enabling me to hit the ball straighter and longer in years now at 73 years young., but, found myself bending too far over rather than standing up enabling the coil. Wow, what a difference.. thanks Paul. Just have to remember these PW Wilson pearls of wisdom!!!! Last two rounds 78 and 80 rather than high 80s!!

      Dan,

That’s great. It all starts with the grip and set up. You cannot do the coil if you are too tilted. Glad you saw that.
