  1. I love Butch Harmon instructions, but, Paul, you do a number of things better. You go into the basic basics. You answer the questions that handicap golfers, 15, like me that I don’t want to ask more experienced golfers how to do. It’s called male pride. : ) 🙂

      Jerome,

Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate it.

I have always wanted people to understand exactly how the golf swing works. If you don’t get it, how do you get it? Got to keep it simple too. Too complicated can be just as bad as not getting it.

Paul ,The “mechanics” principle of ACTION and REACTION applies here .The power comes up from the ground ,as for a high jumper or a long jumper or a weight putter .I watched carefuly your feet and soles during this video .You press very hard on the ground when you start your downswing .There are devices to measure the force exerted by the feet .Did you ever go onto one of these devices ?It would be interesting to get the measurements
The theory is you move mostly onto the heel of the right foot going in the backswing ,but you keep at the same time a firm contact with the ground with the inside of the right sole ,digging in the ground somewhat. So you have to train yourself to push as strongly as you are able to with that right sole and insole to energize the push of the legs, having the right knee flexed at the start of the downswing :this helps a lot:a high jumper has his knee flexed when he starts his up jump .So you have to develop strength IN YOUR FEET .JEREMY KLINKHAMER provides no exercise to strenghten your feet .A simple one is to raise on your toes several times in a row as fast as you can.

      Raymond,

No, never had the chance to go on one of these devices. I have said for a long time I am digging in and pushing with my right instep. The harder I drive off this instep the farther I hit it.
