That was a pretty difficult shot you Turned out ,Paul,far too difficult for the average amateur,especially from the light rough .The majority of us Will follow your sound advice and punch out to safety .Fading the ball ,despite following the instructions I read ,is near to impossible for me !!
Not all members are average players that is why I showed the shot. Definitely get it back in play if you cannot hit the shot.
To learn the fade just line up square. Do your normal swing with the face a little open. Where would the ball go? It would fade. Now do this same thing but aim left.

On the fade(slice)would you recommend increasing your grip pressure from like a 2 to 4-5,which I would assume ensure the face coming through really open.Or would that cause you to aim way too far right(so to NOT hit the tree)?
Keep in mind your grip pressure is only at 2 out of 10 at address. Not sure why gripping harder at address would do anything other than tighten your arms. My grip then increases to 8 out of 10 wen I hit the ball. Again, tightening this is going to tighten up my arms. The face is open because I aimed it at my target yet my body was left not because I am gripping tighter.
