WHERE DO THE SHOULDERS FIT IN WHEN PUTTING.

I KNOW THE LIGHT GRIP AND THE EASY THROWING MOTION.

DO THE SHOULDERS TURN AND THE ARMS FOLLOW?
DO YOU FORGET THE SHOULDERS (EXCEPT MAYBE FOR ALIGNMENT ) AND JUST THINK OF EASILY THROWING THE BALL FROM RIGHT PALM TO YOUR TARGET?

RE TARGET: DO YOU THINK OF A SPOT BETWEEN YOU AND THE TARGER FROM WHICH WATER POORED THERE WOULD FLOW TO THE TARGET? ON WAY TO TARGET?

OR YOU YOU SPOT SOMEPLACE A FEW BALL WIDTHS STRAIGHT OUT FROM TARGET THE SAME DISTANCE FROM YOU AS THE HOLE? OR WHAT?

    • June,

You are not even thinking about your shoulders. You are thinking throw the ball at the target. In doing so the shoulders will move perfectly. If you starting thinking of them you will not be thinking of the throwing motion.

You are throwing a ball to get the feeling of the motion. You are then applying this motion to your putting stoke. You are putting enough force to get the ball to the whole. Your mind can figure this out in a milli-second. Look at the target. Then think to yourself how far do I have to throw the ball to get it there.

Sounds like you are making this way too complicated. This complicating things makes for bad putting. It is simple. Throw the ball at the target enough to let it fall into the hole.

  2. Hey Paul,

Just got done watching about five of videos tonight, great stuff Paul, can’t get enough of you. My game has gotten better since I have started watching your videos, so just want to say thanks! Have your fall class schedules come out yet?

    Thanks
    Tony

    • Tony,

Glad you like the tips. Thanks.

No school dates yet. I will be confirming with our superintendent shortly. Once I do, I will let everyone know.

Beautiful backdrop to the video tip Paul! Thanks for the tip, great quick reminder that is much appreciated!

    • Tom,

Yes, that is the other side of the range. We play music there and too many people driving around so I shoot on the other end. I really like it from that side though.

Thanks for another great tip Paul. I have worked on all you putting tips and I am very pleased with the results I find now that I very seldom three putt and have a lot of confidence on the greens
