You are absolutely right. Thank you Paul.
Finally getting it. The acid test was on the course. I just keep telling myself to “let it go”,let it go.. I hit some awesome shots along with some wild ones, but mostly good. Sometimes I go right because i forget to power with the lower body and just use my core. I’ll go left if I overuse my lowr body and yank it. Just got to get the right balance. Very liberating to not worry about the swing. Ijust say f it and let the arms go where they want.
One question. I got into deep rough and I just could not get it out clean without arm input. What is your strategy when the rough is nasty?

Exactly. LET … IT … GO. It is mind bogging to me that people can’t at least try an easy swing. For some people no matter how many times I tell them to try it … WHACK!!! They so want to see a great shot yet they are trying to get a great shot with a swing that does not work.
It sounds like you are overcoming this hit sensation. Just keep telling yourself you are doing something new and it will be different but you will get it if you keep doing it.
Here is a tip from light rough:
Hit From Light Rough: http://ignitiongolf.com/light-rough
Sometimes in very deep rough you just have to take a SW an chop it out. If the lie is okay then try the technique above. Take more club cause you will be short and land it short of the pin because it will not have any backspin on it.
I like the video lesson as we all felt that. the problem I have had just taken it from a slower swing speed to a moderate let alone even fast and staying in sync any good ideas
If you just increase leg drive you will be out of synch. This is because your wrist release is timed for a slower rotational speed of your body. You need to hook a few first. Then increase the body speed. Watch:

Ah thanks Paul, a great reminder!
Just watched this latest video and it surely serves a a good reminder what to look for in powerless arms, EVERY SWING !!!
I get in to trouble when I try to keep up with my buddies, thats when the arms take over ( BAD ! ) When I slow down, everything goes straight and all is good. Actually I’m keeping up with them in the most important aspect (The Score Card) I have every confidence that the distance will improve if I stay the course.
A few questions if I may:
1. What are your thoughts on how high to tee the ball with Driver, to remain consistent and not introduce a fault not related to a good swing?
2. I am going to purchase the Swing Machine golf package from you and was wondering if the tips keep coming daily as per normal, or do I have to remain on your monthly plan ?
Thanks so much Paul.
You are not alone. Playing with friends can kill your swing. You need to stick to the plan. Let them make fun of you for a while as you are working on it. Then blow their minds once you get it.
Confidence breeds distance. Remember?

2. You have to remain on the monthly plan. It takes a lot of time, money and effort to run this site so I have to charge for it. As a member you do get an additional 25% off all Swing Machine Golf products. Just log in and on the members page you will see the code under the main welcome video.
I noticed you are setting up with your driver several inches behind the ball. Is this a good practice and why?
I don’t want to knock the ball off the tee. I have bend down to tee up millions of balls. The less I bend the better. Try it if you want. It’s just habit now.
