    Hi Paul,
I played the other day. I started off ok but out of the blue I came up with a hard pull hook which I seemed to be able to stop by by pausing at the top of my swing before starting down. It felt weird but it worked.

I haven’t seen you do a tip on how long you wait at the top before starting down. I get anxious in my swing at times and in trying to create more speed momentum, I don’t get the club all the way back before starting back down and don’t get the club set and probably come over the top. The comment I hear most times from everyone is visually I appear to be “jumping at the ball” instead of swinging the club smoothly and on balance.

The question as it relates to the swing path is do you think this is a valid correction or something you want to practice, pausing at the top to collect, and then start down.
    Thanks,
    Jeff

      Tim,

I met with Bronson about getting together. Still waiting to hear back. This was months ago. He was totally into doing something.

Very fine And useful lesson,Paul. An exercise I practise regularly to oblige me to come into the downswing from the inside ,is to swing with a slight slope in front OF me. As if it was an uphill lie .It obliges you to flatten your swing .
Another exercise to force you to rotate on the front leg is to swing up a slight slope OF an uphill lie ,you have to push hard off the back foot to get through the ball And into the front leg.

  6. Paul, just a comment; you always show an outside in swing very exaggerated. After watching this video, I realized that I was swinging outside in. Not like you show it , but I take the club back with my shoulders and come down just a little outside in causing a fade sometime slice. I started working on coming through inside out and what a difference! Every club hit straighter, sometimes draw and longer! Just a small adjustment. Watching the club swing by the alignment stick really helped!

Leaning back to create an inside-out swing creates the problem of getting the weight of the lower body shifted forward in order to hit the club first and then a divot ahead of the point of impact. For young players they can do the great C-shape at follow through. How do older players do it?
