Great tip Paul. This rotation is one of the primary changes I have made after starting your program. For all us folks in the Midwest (Chicago), with winter approaching, these tips are a great way to keep our bodies moving in the correct way.

      Matthew,

Exactly. I keep telling everyone winter is the best time to practice. Some don’t seem to hear me and just hang up the club. You can never stop practicing the golf swing. Glad you are going to be working on it.

I’m having a difficult time with the hip turn to start the down swing. I’m using a tip Hogan’s book,( an elastic band attached to ur left hip ) it seems to work. ( thought I’d share this if others are having the same issues).
It seems to be the most difficult move for me to master? I’ve worked very hard on the finish.
Best instructions, cant understand the Golf channel politics? They should of picked you!

    Best Regards,
    Walt

      Rod,

Yes, pretty easy to do anywhere. Wish I could keep tabs on all of you. I know there are some out there not doing this stuff regularly.

When you practice this drill should you make an attempt to keep your head back and your upper body tilted

      Roy,

You can. It was just a drill to get you feeling the hips. You can’t really turn back too much so it may be tricky. If you do, make sure you get all the way up onto the very tip of the back toe when you finish. Otherwise you will be training yourself to hang back too much.

Alternatively. ,you CAN also place a chair with it’s back Turned to you off YOUR left HIP .
Do the hips finish at right Angles to the target Line ,or go beyond ?

      Raymond,

You can do that but that is not what this tip was about. It was about being able to do it anywhere. You would look kind of funny bringing a chair with you when you play.
