Hi Paul another great tip, i was bent over way to much, question i have is when you look up and bring your head down do you keep bringing it down until ball in middle of your focus or just till you see ball and then move eyeballs down to bring ball into middle of focus . if i don’t adjust eyeballs some when bringing head down see too much of toes. not sure if explained it clearly enough .so diff from old setup unless i move my eyes downto ball the ball is in bottom of my focus when lift head and bring it down

      Barry,

I am just tilting my head down to see the club and ball. I do lower my eyes a little but not much. Remember the tell tale sign is not seeing your toes clearly so you need to do it however you are doing it where you don’t clearly see the toes either.

      Barry,

Head would be up for pitching. Chipping it like putting so you can see you toes when chipping. I will add this one to my tips list. Thanks.

i was fitted for clubs last year at pga superstore. I’m 6’2″ but I have shorter arms for my height. So they suggested 1″ to 1″ 1/2 length extension. I like up upright stance but it feels like my clubs are too short, even with the 1″ extension. I’ve just recently had my clubs regripped, and I was talking to the pro that extends clubs and he said I was too upright. He ask me to get in my set up position and he pushed me from the front and I lost my balance, then he ask me to lean more forward in an athletic position and then he pushed me and I didn’t fall off balance. I tend to bend my knee more, but not past the top of my shoelaces as you suggeseted in another video, but sometimes i tend to push off the ground and my head comes up and even comes into the ball and i might shank a ball sometime. I just want to make sure that my forward lean of the body is wear it needs to be and my knee flex is correct . This video helps some, but I could be leaning to much forward and not enough before i look up to the sky and look back to the ball and I just want to make sure i’m in the correct position and an easy way to know that I am. I don’t have a problem with power its consistency that i’m lacking. I make good contact with the ball 90% of the time, but I do take deep divots. I would like to know if I’m looking at the ball at set up where my head should be. Like my knees should not be past the top of my shoelaces, is there a place my head should be, so I know i’m in the right position and not too upright or too flat

      Johnny,

You might be too upright. You didn’t mention if your clubs are bumped more upright. With shorter arms they should be. This lengthens the clubs. At 6’2″ you shouldn’t have any problem doing my set up. When I work with people I never have a problem getting them in the setup no matter how tall they are. At 6’2″ you are short compared to many golfers I have worked with.

With the fat, shanked and inconsistent shots I would think there is more wrong than just the setup.

      Did you see this tip:

There are tons more on the original site or Dashboard.

I don’t know what you mean by bumped more upright. Are you talking about the lie angle?

      Yes,

Lie angle. They should be bumped upright 2-4 degrees for your height. Probably 2 degrees should do it.
