  1. Excellent exercise ,Paul ,thank you for demonstrating it :the simple plank is So boring !( Though immensely profitable !)
Should you do this exercise at your rythm ,or much faster to put to work the fast twitch fibers ?

  2. Sorry ,I called you Paul ,instead of Jeremy this exercise was demonstrated to me Some years ago by South African pro AARON BADDELEY :h

    • Raymond,
In regards to proper training, resistance and speed must always be earned. For someone starting this exercise for the first time I would recommend a moderate speed of motion. Once someone has proven to themselves they have the strength, stability and endurance to do 3 sets of 10-12 reps each side I would then ask for an increase in speed to get fast twitch fibers working. The same goes for the dumbbells. Only add weight once the technique is perfect and you want to reinforce that perfect pattern.
      Thanks,
      Jeremy Klinkhamer, PT

Aaron Baddeley is Australian, even though the PGA Tour website says that he was born in New Hampshire.

  4. Thank you for the demonstrations. Clear and great. Would it be possible for you to suggest the number of sets or frequency of the exercises/ Like 2 sets of ten every other day or what? thanks again. Tim Kelly

Hi Jeremy, what is the brand of trampoline you have in the background and can that be used for bed ball throws? Thanks for your time!

      Med ball throws! Damn autocorrect!

    • Sorry, Mike, I don’t recall. A local personal trainer created it and gave me one many years ago. I just looked up his name, etc. I don’t think they’re made anymore. It broke down so I don’t use it anymore. I did find out that the best google search for decent trampolines for this use is ‘weighted ball rebounder’. Hope that helps.

Hey Jeremy, I contacted you when my back went out at Poppy Hills golf course in May, and your guidance and advice to seek a physical therapist really paid off. I’ve got a great set of exercises that I follow faithfully and things are definitely looking up. Thanks again! Jon
