Paul, these lesson videos are super – lets me essentially see myself there versus Kevin and his “reeducation” using the arm-less swing – and all the great tips your giving him/me to get “reeducated”!! Great idea for these videos!

  2. Hi Paul, my wife and I have loved your videos going on 4 years. You are one of great friends who we have never met.

Regarding these videos, I agree whole heartily with Dan above about how this is an excellent way to help all of us to really “get it.”

    • Donald,

Glad you like them. I thought he was the perfect student. Kevin is how I teach on a daily basis. Thank you and your wife for the support over the years. I truly appreciate it. Maybe one day we will meet.

  3. Hi Paul,

This series with Kevin is excellent. I can really see and predict when you are going to say he is using his arms. Makes it easier to see it in my own videos.
    Thanks,
    Fred

    • Fred,

Glad you like them. You of all people know what I am going to say. You will be hearing me say it again the near future.

  4. My only beef is that Kevin was chosen for this yet his right knee injury precludes us getting a good student example. Great idea and very helpful, but that’s kind of a big deal that he locks his right knee at the top.
    Best,
    Ben

    • I think Paul said at the beginning of this series that Kevin was one of the few students prepared to be videoed. Well done Kevin for having the guts to be videoed.
I agree with the above comments that these videos of students is incredibly helpful. Paul adds little insights or emphasizes aspects that aren’t easy to pick from just watching the instruction videos alone.

      • Stephen,

Yes, he was willing to do it. Some people don’t want to be on camera. Others might not be the right person in the sense it takes me an hour to change something. I will be asking and doing more in the future when it makes sense. I think they are great for understanding how I say it and want the person to do it and how they react to the instruction.

    • Ben

The things is he didn’t tell me that beforehand. I found out when he said it in that tip.

  5. Very interesting video lesson.
Isn’t KEVIN not raising his hands above the shoulders high enough?
Shouldn’t he turn his right shoulder back more ?
    Good swing tempo overall .

Hi Paul great video I am enjoying watching Kevin improve as he works with. If I get the chance to come to a golf school I would be ok being on video with you

    • Rod,

That’s great. Just let me know if you can make it. Be great to meet and work with you.

  7. I am hiting my irons better than I ever had. My problem is with my driver. I push/fade most of my shots. When i try to correct I tend to pull the ball. Maybe my backswing is too flat. The shaft is a little lower than the top of my back shoulder on the top of my backswing. Any suggestions? Would placing the ball a little further forward in my stance help?
