Greetings Coach first Merry Christmas and happy new year to all your clan.next the winter indoor work begins here in northeastern ohio, its a long three or four months,i’m still here watching and learning.I didn’t get into the high 70s like I wanted to but I came close, at least on the front 9. I don’t always keep score but there is a group that I play with where I do ,the last three times with them I went out 38,37,37 ,came back in 50 51 47. that’s the game of golf. You made these three low scores happen.thanks and i’ll be watching.

      John,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too!

Stay focused this winter. Perfect movement until you don’t have to think about it anymore.

Sounds like next year will be your year. It’s a great feeling.

This latest series of tips, on what to expect, are well done & helpful. I did want to point out that the clarity of the videos is not that great. It looks like you are having them shot with the sun behind you ann I expect that is causing the lack of sharpness. Have a happy & safe holiday season.

I went golfing this past weekend by myself and tried to swing the club at 50%, first tee straight down the middle. I can see a new swing and a better game on the way, thanks to your course. Happy holidays, Mark

      Mark,

That’s great news. As you see I don’t just make this stuff up. It works. You just want to do it. This means it may not be great the first time out but as you do it a few times you will get used to it and hit mind blowing shots with that effortless feeling. If you currently swing hard how do you ever slow it down if you don’t at least try it. After trying it, you will never stop doing it now that you’ve seen the results. Good job.

Hi Paul: Doing many repetitions of “your favorite drill” and now concentrating on the spine tilt so that my head is behind the ball at impact, I’m finally really feeling what hitting with effortless arms is. I’m finally seeing ball flight with both woods and irons that resemble a baby draw! I’d still like to get more consistent with my longer irons but feel very confident in the woods, short irons and rescues. I lapse of course with over the top, but it is getting less and less. Shot 74 last week (3 over) and hit 8 of 12 fairways. Understanding the tilt by looking back over all of your ignition golf tips on the subject has focused me on the importance of looking like all you professionals with a face-on reverse c at impact. I’m really using my mirror to see that position at impact and this has really helped the overall swing. When I do this correctly, the purity of contact is amazing in feel and ball trajectory/distance. I know almost instantly when the arms have taken over. Still working at it coach and thanks.

      Bruce,

Glad you have been repeating “my favorite drill” and you are seeing the results. This stuff takes work.

When you play you need to do it slowly for now. It is so exciting to hit long drives. In doing so it activates the arms sending it over the top. How about a little less distance but right down the middle. This builds confidence which will allow you to increase the distance in the future. You know you can do it. Driver is just another club.

Sounds like you are really close. Just stay focused and trust it.

    Paul,

I’ve been working hard at your method – really focusing on practice swings without the ball and trying to mimic your top of backswing and follow through positions and nailing down the grip. I’ve had considerable success – and the swing is now sufficiently ingrained. Fighting much less of an inside takeaway and flipping the club over the line at the top, am also now keeping right knee flexed which has been a game changer in so many ways it’s hard to describe!

The new ‘issue in the puzzle’ I am having is that my ball flight is too high – I am a 7.1 HCP and always played a pro-type elevated trajectory but this is too much – I am losing distance due to the exaggerated height. My issue is that with new thought of keeping right knee flexed I am REALLY hanging back a lot and getting a bit ‘under’ it.

How much is the correct tilt and how do we practice it?

You sir are a G-d send!

    Cheers,

    Steve
