  1. Hi Paul. I used to get frustrated hitting a thin short iron straight over the pin into the back bunker. Now I realize that’s a much better mistake than a dead pull. Today’s tip explains the thin straight shot which is much closer to a good one than I realized.

    Thanks, Ron.

    • Ron,

Exactly, this is a great miss. It is online. This is what I want for everyone and one of the reasons I teach what I teach. The thin shot is you coming out of it early. Everyone does this. Slow down a little. Sing easier as soon as you see this shot.

Paul, does the front leg lock before or after impact of the ball?

  3. I have found that my left leg bends a little bit (moves towards target) in the initial downswing before it straightens again after impact. I think I need to focus on moving the back of the knee straight back.

    • To follow up on this, do you try to get the left foot, hip and shoulder stacked on top of each other or you feel that this three are angled a little bit away from the target? I mean to get the tilt away from the target maybe the left shoulder should stay behind the hip and foot at impact and then move over top and stack in the follow through?
