      John,

Winter is the best time to practice. Just keep doing the swings precisely. By the time next season rolls around you should be playing the best golf of your life.

Pau ,Would you say that the Fairway woods 3 and 5 and the hybrids 2(16°) , 3(19°)and 4 (22°) give way to a “divot” ?
I note a grazing of the fairway (short grass) or low rough (medium high grass )with these clubs ,but not a deep divot as with the medium or short irons .
What should these “divots “look like?

      Raymond,

You would usually pick a 3 wood. The others may graze the grass. This would be where you could see the grass has been affected but no real depth to the divot. Maybe I’ll shoot it and show everyone.

Paul ,I ‘ll put the following question here though it has nothing to do with the “DIVOT PATH”you demonstrate in this interesting video.
One of your colleagues (Mental ,like DAVE BRESLOW ) advertises a stuff called “GOLF FUEL ” ,made up by 7 different vitamins or chemical substances (Which of course he sells on line !).
I really don’t believe a word of what he says that taking these drugs will eliminate your “bad strokes ” during around of golf …
Could you or DAVE honestly give a appraisal and comment on this so called “GOLF FUEL “.
it’s probably pretty bad for your health!

      Raymond,

I had no idea he endorsed that product. I have not tried it nor will I. Anytime something like this or anything else comes along I always ask myself if Jack Nicklaus would need or use it. This usually gives me the answer I am looking for. I cannot find anywhere David is promoting this product. Are you talking about another mental golf coach? If so, I think I know who you are talking about.

Hi Paul, If the divot is straight ahead, what does that mean I am doing wrong? Thanks. Lee

      Lee,

Yes, like I said in my previous reply you are sliding. This is the tell-tale sign. It should be going left. You need to work on the fix I posted in this reply. You need to turn to hit your shot. Make sure you check your grip too though. I guarantee you have a strong grip. This is tough to fix. You need to do the neutral grip and hit 30 in a row. No matter where they go keep hitting it. When you do you will be hitting pushes and push fades which is the second flaw in your swing showing up (sliding). Once you are comfortable with the grip you move on to curing the slide. Most people quit because they can’t get the grip. If you want to fix it you need to do it exactly as I suggest. Fix the the grip. Then fix the slide. Tricky but once you do it, you will never blow it right. Everything will be down the middle.

  5. I FIND THIS TIP VERY HELPFUL.
