Paul ,Most of the best top players today do as you say :RORY Mc ILROY ,DUSTIN JOHNSON ,KEVIN CHAPPEL ,HENRIK STENSON ,PATRICK REED ,JUSTIN ROSE ,but a few a more tilted :one coming to my mind is BUBBA WATSON .
In the past the classical way was to stay very much upright : TAYLOR ,HARRY VARDON,BOBBY JONES,SAM SNEAD ,great BEN HOGAN ,etc ..but there is class of players who teach you the tilt ,some being the “Long drive hitters ” .
They “stack” more when going to the top.
We ,ordinary ,common golfers ,are ourselves more or less straight .
What are the limits of being straight or bent .
Not seeing your toes is only one way of doing it .
What are the limits? As you and I mention the easiest way to not clearly see your toes. You can match up the middle of the shoulder, tip of knee and front of laces from the down the line view. This way you can actually see and check it.
When I said up to the golf ball should my shoulders be pointed to the right of the target or in a neutral position or slightly left of target. I have a tendency to set up with my shoulders slightly rate of target. When I set up the club and hand my right hand is able to touch The top of my right knee. If this makes any sense.
