    Hi Paul,

    Driving the ball with my lower body seems to work when concentrating on movements other than just closing my legs in a circular fashion. For example turning my body around to the left fast gives me the same result. I know you recommend not bumping the left hip at the start of the down swing, but by bumping my hip and turning the body, I get the same physical result as closing my legs. I get the correct timing in all three methods by feeling the club head at the top of the back swing and fully extending the arms to feel the centrifugal force of swinging the club around my body to the top of the back swing. Please comment.

    Paul, my last sentence is mis-stated. I meant to say I get the correct timing in all three ways by feeling the club head at the top of the back swing and extending my arms to feel the centrifugal force of the club swinging around my body to the top.

  3. What you are emphasizing is the follow-thru.

    Do you have a reference link to the follow thru

      On the original site you hover over GOLF TIPS in the red navigation bar. Once the drop down shows up you hover over FULL SWING then go to FOLLOW THROUGH.

      This is also in the Dashboard in the full swing slides.

    I agree with this all – excellent. One other key though that I have found is “making sure I turn my BACK to the ball,” almost as far as I can.” Not the arms though. Beyond good extension, this gives me TIME get my hips and lower body moving FIRST. It sort of becomes a natural need then. Being back so far takes the initial need or want to get my arms moving moving first. Works for me, is all I can say. If I just get my arms back and not my upper body, (back to the ball) I seem to just go all arms from the top. No power, no lag, lots of blocked shots.

      Yes, you need time to get the lower moving. Too many people are way too fast. Too fast and you have minimal time to get the body moving.

  5. Thanks Paul,for this tip,got up to the driving range last week for the first time this year, I was anxious to try your truing method
    which i have been working on all winter with a wedge in the living room. At the range I started hitting various irons and was very pleased with the results then I tried hitting my driver turning my hips as fast as I could,sure enough a push fade every time.
    I slowed my swing and got back on track,I figured that my arms were not catching up to my hips,now that I know the solution to the problem I will give it a try next time….John

    Is there a video that goes over the right arm on the downswing? At the top of my swing I feel like my right forearm is straight up and down in my elbow is pointed out then on the downswing as a start turning my hips I feel my right bicep coming into my rib cage before impact.
