    Hi Paul,
Are there any adjustments to be made while using an offset club?

    Hi Paul,

I’ve been working with this video and the setup checklist. I get into a setup position where my grip is neutral and over or aligned with the ball but my top wrist is bent back …. Or perhaps the more apt description is that fingers and knuckles are more forward than the wrist joint…. If I stand a bit further away from the ball the wrist straightens out (but I feel. disconnected) and of course if I move my hands forward of the ball it straightens out.

any thoughts? Maybe this is not a problem. But I’m popping up some shots and I wonder if this is the cause.

    Thanks!

    • Craig,

I take it you are skying it with driver. If so you are hitting with your arms getting ahead of the ball in the downswing.

      Fix:

      Skying: https://ignitiongolf.com/cure-skying/

      Grip:

If the fingers/knuckles are more forward more than a little your grip is too strong. Start with the thumb against the side of your hand. Place your thumb straight down the grip. Then give it a slight turn until you can see 2 knuckles. This will put the knuckles/fingers slightly ahead but not all that much. If it is sever you would be holding the club in the fingers of the top hand causing to to kink too much. This positioning can also cause over-cupping at the top of the backswing.

You might want to do a swing analysis with Pete and have him check it for you.
